2006 registration fees for etb Board Joining fees for new registrants waived

The etb (Engineering and Technology Board) has decided to restructure the annual registration fees effective from January 2006. And for those who register in 2006, initial registration joining fees will be waived. The 2006 annual fees for the Chartered Engineer (CEng) will increase from 22 pounds to 25 pounds pa, for the Incorporated Engineer (IEng) from 18 pounds to 21 pounds pa, and for the Engineering Technician (EngTech) from 9.80 pounds to 11 pounds pa. Both the CEng and IEng increases are in line with inflation, while the new EngTech fee is actually below the inflation rate for the period 1999-2005 - 1999 being the last year the fee was increased.
