Research councils join sensors innovation plan

Three UK research councils and the UK Atomic Energy Authority have become major sponsors and partners of the Sensors Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN). The network, which is managed on behalf of the Department of Trade and Industry by Sira and the National Physical Laboratory, aims to bring together companies, research organisations and government departments to stimulate innovation in what is regarded as a key technology sector. In the new partnership, the KTN has received support from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, the Council for the Central Laboratory of the Research Councils, and the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council.
