摘要

A new group of metallic materials has been explored: high-nickel, high-nitrogen solid solutions crystallizing in the face-centered cubic lattice. It is shown that nitrogen contents well over one weight percent can be achieved by melting under atmospheric pressure if the base material is selected appropriately. In many cases, the high-nickel fcc solid solutions behave similarly to the low-nickel or nickel-free solid solutions on the basis of Fe-Cr-Mn-(Mo)-C-N.~([8]) For stress corrosion cracking in MgCl_2 centre dot 6H_2O solutions at 152 deg C however, a high nickel concentration is necessary.
