Measuring of the copper concentration in drinking water stagnating in copper brazed plate heat exchangers

摘要

A whole lot of corrosion damage occurred in galvanized steel pipes used in hot water supply systems,showing copper-induced pitting corrosion. The damage were obviously caused by copperions whichmigrated from the braze of the heat exchangers into the water. Some tests were carried out todetermine the copper-concentrations entering the stagnating water.
