Phase Transfer Catalysis (PTC) is a relatively young technique in the chemistry. PTC can be conducted using quaternary phosphonium salts. The synthesis of polymer supported phase-transfer catalysts, e.g. polymer phosphonium salts, is discussed. This review is concerned with the preparation of polymers with phosphonium groups and the factors affecting the choice of suitable reaction conditions.
