Machine shop goes green with recyclable fluid

The environmental benefits of one of Cstrol's cutting fluids helped persuade David Brown Engineering to appoint Castrol to provide it with a total fluid management programme. Now David Brown has set itself the environmental target of virtually eliminating waste fluid disposal. David Brown's Huddersfield site makes a wide range of mechanical drive products. Three machine shops were recently consolidated into a single unit with more than 350 machines. The three original businesses had used different metalworking fluid suppliers, so the management team selected a single supplier for the new machine shop.
