Part II. Standing of the Main Ukrainian Steelmaking Enterprises

Krivorozhstal Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works, located in Krivyi Rih city (Dnepropetrovsk region), is one of the greatest Ukrainian steelmakers. Krivorozhstal, as Mining-Metallurgical Works, was organised in October, 1996 by governmental decree through merging Krivorozhstal Metallurgical Works, Krivorozhsky coal-tar chemical plant and Novokrivorozhsky GOK. Thus, at present, the enterprise is characterised by availability of complete recourses production cycle the complete metallurgical production cycle that is its obvious advantage - no other Ukrainian steelmaker has own complete resources production. Krivorozhstal is the greatest Ukrainian producer of rebar from carbon steel (including heat-resistant high-strenath rebar), as well as wire rod and other bar (around 20% of Ukrainian rolled steel output in 2007 and around 17% in 2008 and 2009).
