JSC MMK, the greatest Russian Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works (Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk oblast, Ural region of Russia), produces the widest range of steel and rolled steel in Russia, including slabs, billet, long-rolled steel, HR and CR sheet, CR strip, galvanized flat steel, tin-plate, black plate, pipes, roll-formed sections. Now MMK is a vertically-integrated holding, including 59 companies with total staff of above 60,000 employees. The combine operates since 1932. Peak figure of steel output - 16mt - was reached in 1989. In 1992 the combine was transformed into joint-stock company. MMK Group includes metalware-metallurgical, sizing and cement-refractory plants, machine-building and building enterprises, financial and trade companies. In 2005, MMK was on the 2~(nd) place in Russian steelmaking sector by volume of production, and the 20~(th) greatest steelmaker in the world). Priority markets of MMK are Far East, Near East, South-Eastern Asia, Western Europe. At domestic market, the bulk of MMK sales falls to Central, Povolzhsky (Nearby Volga River) and Ural territories.
