摘要

In the article dealing with tyrosinase inhibition activity of lavender and peppermint essential oils many aspects have to be critized. First, the indication in the title of properties connected to lavender and peppermint essential oils is inappropriate due to the fact that the oils tested are not Lavandula angustifolia and Mentha piperita, common names internationally accepted for these species. The lavender' described is somewhat close to Lavandula spica L (spike lavender) and the 'peppermint' is typical of Mentha longifolia (L) Huds.
