Members of the Manitoba Beekeepers' Association (MBA) hav expressed a desire for more research into the Blacklegged (deer and its' associated link to Lyme disease, a bacterial infection.At the Lyme Disease Panel presentations of the 2014 Beekeepe Symposium, about 100 people crammed into the meeting room] learn more about what has been happening in this topic. In the part of the panel presentations, attendees learned about theBlacklegged Tick as a vector for disease. Later, in the second session, a more in-depth story about the disease was revealed by three beekeepers living with the consequences of the bacterial infection.
