摘要

WHILE manufacturers and employer groups have welcomed the federal government's IR reforms set for enactment early in 2006, unions are challenging the prospective changes, specifically on and dismissal rules which exempt claims in small companies employing up to 100 people. Gary Brack, chief executive of Employers First organisation, sees other states following NSW's lead with high court challenges to the government's looming changes on dismissal and other aspects of the IR legislation when it is enacted. "Until we see documents filed by state governments on unfair dismissal rules, it's more or less certain there will be some (challenges) on anti dismissal reforms among the other changes," he told Manufacturers' Monthly.
