Using heparin and low-dose aspirin in expectant management of early-onset severe preeclampsia

When you face a case of early-onset severe preeclampsia, the definitive treatment is termination of pregnancy, but it is often at the expense of fetal outcome. Thus, expectant management has arisen in the recent literature as a treatment option. As thrombophilia is implicated in many adverse pregnancy outcomes, blood thinners such as heparin and low-dose aspirin have been introduced as a part of expectant management in this article.
