With CHP still generally viewed as an emerging technology, discussions on the best design practices are ongoing and, as with any appliance in the heating and hot water industry, there is no 'one solution fits all' approach. This means consultants and contractors need to take account of numerous performance-related issues, and the fact that there are differences of opinion across the industry as to when cascades of multiple CHP modules, or single module systems, should be used.
