Rectangular Tubing for Cell Culturing, Reagent Boats and Dissection Chambers

I have been asked to fabricate a variety of rectangular chambers for several research and clinical testing laboratories. The first chambers requested were for use in an automated slide-staining machine. The machine automatically dips racks rilled with glass slides (smeared with whole blood) in a succession of buffers and alcohol until the blood has reached the desired saturation of stain. The blood cells are then checked for any abnormalities. The machine was purchased with plastic trays; the plastic would absorb some stain during each use. This was unacceptable, and the trays were replaced on a regular basis. Once the new glass trays were in place, the trays could be easily cleaned and re-used without any risk of contamination (Images 1&2).
