Treasurer

I would like to introduce myself. My name is James Hodgson and at the Board of directors meeting in November, I was installed as the new ASGS Treasurer. A part of my responsibilities involve the treasurer's report at the annual meeting and the yearly audit of our books.Previous treasurers have established procedures to ensure and check the accuracy of our financial records. For several years, our primary check has been an external accountant who reviews all of our transactions and is also the bookkeeper for the ASGS. Another check is the requirement for two signatories on a check. The treasure's report, presented at the annual meeting, is a third. A copy of this report will be available to those attending the national business meeting at the Symposium in Point clear, Alabama this summer. A request may also be made to the National Office for a copy I you are unable to attend the annual meeting. All these checks and balances help keep our financial records timely and accurate.
