Co-ordinate measurement: New quality-lab and production-line CMMs to be used for Land Rover manufacture

Quality control of the new Land Rover Discovery 3 - scheduled for launch this autumn - will be more comprehensive than ever, following the installation of eight car body co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs) at the company's Solihull factory. They were built and installed by LK Ltd, Castle Donington (Tel: 01332 811349), which believes this to be the largest CMM order ever placed in the UK.
