Trays of product, especially when they are frozen, can be distorted and difficult to handle at high speeds. Preparing them for cartoning can be a particular challenge, and one which Kliklok Woodman helps to address with its Rotary Transfer System (RTS). The RTS allows trays to be received from upstream equipment narrow edge leading. A combination of software and belt technology helps to position the tray, which then enters the rotary turret where a right-angle turn smoothly sweeps the tray into the infeed conveyor of the cartoner.
