Handling and storage of foods are discussed, with particular reference to the development of a fully automated warehouse by logistics provider, Kloosterboer, Netherlands. Aspects considered include: storage systems, including automated coldstore; storage retrieval; automatic loading and unloading systems; and improved storage and material flow accounting.
