Pertamina to upgrade Dumai,Balikpapan

PT PERTAMINA REPORT-edly signed a deal with Malaysia's state-owned oil company Petronas to jointly expand production capacity of two key refineries wholly owned by Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company.The expansion will boost the average daily output of the Dumai refinery in South Sumatra and Balik-papan refinery in Kalimantan by 20%.The upgrade of the two oil refineries will start in 2007 and is expected to be completed by 2011,Pertamina President Director Ari Soer-mano was reported as saying.
