EIA: Air Passengers Up, Jet Fuel Use Down

The US Energy Information Administration reported this week that while the number of US airline passengers continues to rise, jet fuel consumption remains well below all-time records. From 2007-16, the number of US air passengers rose 20 to more than 820 million, but jet fuel use was down 11 over that same period at 17.7 billion gallons.
