"Whilst preliminary data for 2010 shows that incidents have stabilised over the last three years, there are still 3000 incidents a year and that's eight incidents every day," said pollution prevention technical advisor, Liz Hobday. "After eight years of falling numbers, it's time to work more closely with the oil industry to ensure numbers start to fall again. "To help people understand their responsibilities when they have an oil tank for their home or business, we're already working with tank manufacturers, fuel distributors and the Oil Care Campaign. "However, we're on the look out for more deas as to how we could better help your customers gain a clearer understanding of their oil storage responsibilities.
