Continued progress in restoring U.S. DOE hyarogen fuel cell transportation funding: Next stop House Senate Conference Committee

Both Houses of Congress continue to support hydrogen fuel cell vehicle funding and are restoring fiscal year 2010 appropriations to close to Bush era levels. As reported last issue, the Senate Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee voted to restore full funding for fiscal year 2010 and sent the bill to the full Appropriations Committee. Specifically, $190 million was included for hydrogen and fuel cells at the U.S. DOE. The House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee restored a lower level of ue funding, but still larger than called for cle in President Obama's budget.
