Evaluation of three varieties of soursop and two grafting methods in 'Cerrados', central Brazil.

The effect of 2 grafting methods (whip grafting and top cleft grafting) on the growth of 3 Annona muricata cultivars (FAO II, Lisa and Morada) was investigated in Cerrados. Lisa and Morada exhibited better survival 60 days after grafting than FAO II. No differences in growth were observed between the cultivars 150 days after grafting, but whip grafted plants had higher root system DWs than top cleft grafted plants. Interactions between cultivars and grafting methods were not found.
