In line with the new strategy of not only dealing with Europe but with new markets in Middle and Far East as well as Latin America, Jerte Fruit - Campo y tierra del Jerte -invested EUR 8 m in a new packing house equipped with the latest innovative technology in handling, storing, grading and sorting as well as packing fresh cherries. Unitec SpA, Lugo (RA), Italy, supplied the Unical 200 Cherry, custom-made calibration machine for cherries and other small fruit between 12 and 40 mm. It starts with the water-flow dumping system and the hydraulic separator separating stalks.
