FERC APPROVES SALT DOME STORAGE PROJECT IN NORTHEAST LOUISIANA, GRANTS MARKET-BASED RATES FOR STORAGE AND HUB SERVICES

FERC on 3/18/18 authorized Tallulah Gas Storage, LLC (CP10-494) to construct and operate a salt cavern gas storage facility and connecting pipelines - the Tallulah Gas Storage Project - in Madison County, Louisiana. Tallulah plans a large-scale, high- deliverability, multi-cycle facility on the Tallulah Salt Dome, with three caverns. The goal is to support the emerging Delhi Hub in northern Louisiana as a trading hub connecting gas supplies from the Haynesville, Barnett, and Fayetteville shales, the Gulf of Mexico, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals to markets in the Ohio Valley, Midwest, Northeast, and Southeast.
