FERC APPROVES BY DECLARATORY ORDER CONDITIONS FOR SUNOCO PIPELINE TO DEVELOP ITS MARINER WEST PIPELINE IN ORDER TO TAP MARCELLUS SHALE PRODUCTION BYPRODUCT

On 11/4/11 FERC granted a petition for a declaratory order sought in September by Sunoco Pipeline LP (OR11-22) approving: (1) priority service for the proposed Mariner West ethane pipeline; and (2) the overall tariff and rate structure for that project which will entail installing infrastructure to serve the Marcellus Shale production area. One segment of Sunoco's existing pipeline system consists of an 8-inch diameter pipeline extending approximately 130 miles from Toledo, Ohio, north to Marysville, Michigan, and the international border.
