TARGETS OF FERC'S LATEST ROUND OF RATE INVESTIGATIONS ANNOUNCED IN NOVEMBER SEEK REHEARING OR CLARIFICATION ON SOME FAMILIAR AND A FEW NEW ISSUES

All three parties, recently notified by FERC that their rates are being investigated, filed for rehearing of orders issued on November 17 instituting the investigations and setting the matters for hearing pursuant to section 5 of the Natural Gas Act (NGA). The parties under investigation now are Bear Creek Storage Co. (RP12-121), MIGC LLC (RP12-122), and ANR Storage Co. (RP12-123). The complaints about the orders issued to them are similar in most respects, challenging the Commission's authority to impose seemingly full section 4 rate case requirements on non-major operations like their own.
