Texas Eastern Urges FERC To Deny Indicated Shippers' Request to Impose Restrictions on its Call for a Rolled-in Rate Determination for the U2GC Project
On 4/28/14 Texas Eastern Transmission, LP (CP14-104) answered comments of the Indicated Shippers4 who requested that FERC include additional conditions on a roll-in determination involving Texas Eastern’s 3/11/14 application for authorization to construct and operate its Uniontown to Gas City Project (U2GC Project). The U2GC Project is designed to provide additional pipeline capacity to deliver natural gas production from western Pennsylvania to an interconnection with the Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. LP’s system near Gas City, Indiana for further redelivery to growing markets in the Midwest. The project involves modifications to Texas Eastern’s existing facilities in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. Moreover, according to the application, the project will allow Texas Eastern to provide a significant quantity of new firm transportation service with relatively minor facility modifications within Texas Eastern’s existing footprint and with limited cost and limited impacts to the environment.
