Central New York Proposes MARC I Facilities to Bring More Marcellus Shale Gas to Market

FERC received a request on 8/9/10 by Central New York Oil and Gas Co. (CNYOG) (CP10-480) for authority to construct and operate a 39-mile, 30-inch diameter pipeline to take away up to 550,000 dth/d of Marcellus Shale production in Pennsylvania (MARC I Project). The company executed precedent agreements for 100% of project capacity for 10 years. The estimated cost of the MARC I facilities is $257 million; they are slated to be in service by 7/1/12.
