Majority of Shippers Vehemently Object to Gulp South Pipeline's Proposal to Split a Pool

Shell Energy North America (US), LP and other shippers took their turn to file initial comments, following a technical conference, to again request FERC to deny proposed revisions to Pooling Area 7 that Gulf South Pipeline Co. (RP10-465) filed on March 2. The so-called "Pooling Proposal" would bifurcate Pooling Area 7 into two pools. Each would have a single paper pooling point. Shell Energy and other parties believe this would negatively affect shippers and poolers that use Pooling Area 7, without providing an improvement for the current scheduling issues. According to the Joint Protesters, "the playing field is level, and it is hardly appropriate for the pipeline to determine how each shipper should play."
