COLORADO SENATE APPROVES NEW OIL AND GAS RULES AS PART OF ANNUAL REGULATORY REVIEW

Both the Colorado House and Senate have now approved House Bill 09-1292(HB 1292),with new rules governing the extraction of oil and natural gas in the state.Final action came 3/25/09 with a party-line vote in the Senate.HB 1292 is now headed for the desk of Governor Bill Ritter(D),who is expected to sign it.Industry representatives are considering a court challenge.
