"Sustainability" is sometimes perceived as just a buzzword executives use to try to impress customers and make them feel good about the company in question. However, those who rely on natural resources for their livelihood surely must realize the importance of their co-existence in the present to allow for their industry to exist in the future. In other words, we as an industry should find ways to flourish and grow in our lifetimes without sacrificing what is needed for future generations to sustain this lifestyle and continued growth.
