For many people,the image of Puerto Rico brings to mind sunny beaches,glamorous hotels and wet,mountainous rain forests.Lesser known is that the island also sports a large pharmaceutical manufacturing infrastructure.With favourable tax incentives and sophisticated communications and transportation systems,many of the most prescribed medicines in the US are manufactured in Puerto Rico.However,Puerto Rico also faces a finite supply of resources-especially water-and for pharma companies,this is a particular problem.
