GE Completes purchase of osmonics

As expected GE Speciaty Materials, a unit of General Electric Co, has successfully completed its acquisition of Osmonics Inc within the first quarter of 2003. Osmonics joins GE Betz within GE Specialty Materials' water and process technologies business, creating a US US1.4 billion enterprise,with over 5400 employees worldwide. George R Oliver, currently vice president and general manager of GE Betz,will head the combined subiness.
