SLUDGE HANDLING IMPROVEMENTS

Hydro International (www.hydro-int.com) is providing Zickert~(TM) sludge handling technology to increase ca- pacity, improve odour control and deliver high quality sludge for energy generation as part of Thames Water’s multi-million pound upgrade of its London sew- age treatment plants. Following contracts totalling more than ￡20 million, Zickert~(TM) bottom and surface scraper technology from Hydro International will be in use in a total of 53 primary settlement tanks at Beck- ton, Crossness and Mogden sewage treatment plants.
