This year the technical site visit was hosted by MEL Chemicals Ltd,Swinton,Manchester where they manufacture zirconium based chemicals - sulphates,carbonates and oxides.Zirconium has a number of exciting chemical properties,in particular its thermal stability,chemical inertness as oxide,while being very reactive/selective in other chemical forms.
