NEXT GENERATION MEMBRANE BIOREACTOR (MBR) IS LAUNCHED

Koch Membrane Systems (KMS, www.koch membrane.com) recently launched their new PUL-SION MBR technology. Incorporated into the KMS family of PURON submerged membrane modules, this innovative technology is claimed to offer several ad-vantages: 1. Up to 40% aeration energy reduction. The PUL-SION MBR pulses a large bubble through a cham-bered fibre bundle to create an efficient piston-like pumping action, resulting in lower air and aeration energy requirements than traditional air scour meth-ods. This innovative product is able to harness the aeration energy by utilizing the single header and central aeration design of the PURON membrane module.
