Amodular recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) that enables low cost, high density farming has been developed in Ireland. Designed at the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), primarily for the rearing of shellfish, AquaFarm can also be adapted for finfish species, claim its inventors.
