Since its inception, global feed company Skretting has been a leader in providing innovative and sustainable nutritional solutions for the aquaculture industry.Now part of the Nutreco feed group, Skretting was established in Norway in 1899 as a company dealing in agricultural goods and by the 1930s was focused on fish nutrition. In 1973 the company established its first research farm for sea farming Atlantic salmon, and in 1983 it introduced the first extruded salmon feed into the Norwegian market. Skretting's Aquaculture Research Centre (ARC) was established in 1989, and since 2003 Nutreco Aquaculture's fish feed business has been operating under the single name 'Skretting'.
