Eco-friendly Phytoadjuvants* to ensure optimum feed utilisation and productivity in aquaculture

THE future of the aquaculture industry largely depends on sustainable usage of different resources without compromising environmental and consumer safety. However, not all technologies which ensure sustainability of resources will result in economic production. Therefore, a balance between economy and sustainability is paramount. Feed is one of the most important factors/inputs affecting economy as well as sustainability as first, its optimum utilisation determines the growth and survival of aquaticanimals and secondly, the ingredients determine the safety. It is also the most expensive component (contributing 30-50%) in aquaculture production.
