ExxonMobil geoscience: global opportunities and career-ong development

At ExxonMobil, we take a global and long-term approach to hiring and developing our geoscientists. This makes sense, because the petroleum business has always been long-term in nature and is becoming more and more global. In response, ExxonMobil has been increasing its global geoscience recruiting for several years and in 2006, it attracted new hires and interns that came from 36 countries (see Figure 1). This global approach is one part of the company's commitment to excellence, which has resulted in ExxonMobil's position as the top non-governmental petroleum producer in the world.
