Regarding the completion of work units, both participants progressed more quickly (higher percentage of unit completion) when the interventionist implemented the EDC procedure. One participant had less frequent challenging behavior with EDC compared to GDC. With the second participant, challenging behavior decreased more rapidly during the initial 18 sessions of EDC, but for the remainder of the study there was little difference on challenging behavior between the EDC and GDC procedures.
