Mercury levels 3X higher in wild B.C. salmon than farmed

Mercury concentrations in the flesh of wild salmon in British Colombia, Canada, were found to be three times higher than farmed salmon there, reports a study published in the Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry, the monthly journal of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC). The possible explanation given: Farmed fish have rapid growth cycles, resulting in growth dilution.
