FDA Bans BPA in Formula Packaging

Despite reiterating the safety of bisphenol A (BPA) epoxy resin coatings on its website only last month, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced July 11 that it is amending the food additive regulations to eliminate the use of BPA-based epoxy resin coatings in infant formula packaging.
