When domestic hardwood OEM supplier American OEM started out two short years ago, it did so with the intention of being an American alternative to Chinese OEM, according to company CEO Don Finkell. Since then, it has established itself as a provider of high quality, fashion-forward engineered hardwood flooring. "We had the ability to do commodity type products but we also built in a lot of capacity to do high-end design, not knowing where our place would be. And after making product for more than a year and half, we evolved to the high-end part of the spectrum and have since exited the commodity part of the business," Don Finkell explained.
