US: Huber - precipitated silica

Havre de Grace, MD (about 65 km northeast of Baltimore) is one of Huber's six plants for making precipitated silica. The company has recently introduced a new packaging concept here, replacing paper bags with more robust polyethylene bags, which provide minimisation of nuisance dust, stronger tensile strength and greater control of moisture to keep the integrity of the material inside.
