China: Henan Billions & PPG - TiO2

On 21 October, executives from PPG Industries attended a ceremony at Jiaozuo City (90 km northwest of Zhengzhou) to mark the inauguration of the new 100,000 tonnes/y chloride-route TiO2 plant of Henan Billions. This marks the culmination of agreements signed by the two companies in June 2012, though at that time the project capacity was reported as only 60,000 tonnes/y.
