EU food biofuels phase-out irks farmers

European farmers federation Copa-Cogeca has expressed its displeasure with plans by the European Commission to gradually phase out food-based biofuels in transport. The proposed revision of the EU’s renewables directive needs to be approved by both the European Parliament and EU member states in a final legal text.
