Modernisation of the Ransbach winding gear and connection of a remote control station

The electrical equipment of the main man riding installation in the Ransbach shaft of the Werra mine was fully renewed together with the drive and braking equipment during the shutdown in summer 1999. The previous winding gear was replaced by modern winding gear. In addition to the modern drive the new installation operated both by hand and automatically is characterised by the latest control, regulating and power supply systems. The new winding gear can also be remotely controlled by a second control station 5 km away in Hattorf. A previously unique new transmission concept for connection of the second control station was implemented for this purpose. It has already proved itself in every respect.
