The market for sulacid continues to be overshadowed by the continuing boom in sulphur prices, which reached an all-time peak in Iran this week with an IPCC sale equivalent to $806/t fob. Further bullish developments in phosphates also help to support the sulacid situation. At this stage, there is still no sign of a concrete supply boost for acid, particularly in the Mediterranean and NW Europe regions, where plants are expected to close down for scheduled summer maintenance.
